The program, sponsored by the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, the Technology Association of Georgia&#8217;s International Business Society, Thompson Hine LLP, and Skipping Stone, is another in the Thompson Hine-Skipping Stone entrepreneurship and smart cities series.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Smart cities,&#8221; urban areas that leverage advanced technology and real-time data to optimize everything from traffic light patterns to residential use of solar energy, hold enormous potential to make our lives healthier, safer and more convenient. The United Nations has projected that by 2050, 66 percent of the world&#8217;s population will be urban, signaling that the importance of developing smart cities will only increase in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAtlanta is home to a number of world class companies in the Smart Cities space\u201d says Ross Malme, Skipping Stone Partner.\u00a0 \u201cWe are delighted to feature his honor Nagesh Sing, Consul General of India in Atlanta, to give us insight into his Smart City vision for India.
